The children’s year-round program at Masterworks is comprised of three sessions. Spanning from September to May, there are two 12 week sessions and one 6 week session. Beginning in the fall, the Masterworks I and II classes start with the oldest known piece of art in history and by December conclude with Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo, of the Renaissance. The Intermediate/Advanced Thursday class as well as the Advanced Tuesday class focus on problem solving through practice of fine art skills, in a variety of mediums.
Classes are 1 hour and 45 minutes long, designated by age. A substantial snack, related to the project, is served to each class. This enhances the children’s learning experience and helps to anchor in their minds, the historical, geographical and cultural aspects of the art they have created.
